Here’s what I’m in love with this week-
I LOVE a good podcast. I listen while cleaning or driving or trying to drown out the sound of my children bickering. Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love) recently started her own podcast, Magic Lessons. I have listened to the first 2 and am anxiously awaiting more! For anyone who is a mother and a writer, artist, dreamer- listen immediately. The words Elizabeth shared were salve to my soul
I came across this recipe on Lindsay Cotter’s Twitter page… delicious!! Even better after a day or 2 in the fridge.
I really must become best friends with Chip and Joanna Gaines. I need their touch of style and spunk to our country house. In the meanwhile, look at this wallpaper that we have found when we tore down the drop ceiling in one of the bedrooms! Who doesn’t love some dancing dogs in top hats??
My older kids have spend the week at Springhill day camp at our home church. I love they have had an opportunity to grow their faith in such an amazingly fun setting. It’s especially touching to hear their counselors speak about each of them during their closing rally. Cakers was given the “Generosity” award and NoNo the “Boldness”. Fits their personalities to a T.
I grew up on Long Island, a stone’s throw from the beach. Painful parts of childhood will forever remain tucked within my soul. When my childhood friend, Andrea, posted this picture of a beach near where we were raised along with a quote from Terri St. Cloud, I knew it deserved it’s rightful place on the my list…and on my wall
She could never go back and
make the details pretty.
All she could do was move forward and
make the whole beautiful.
