Here’s what I’m in love with this week despite a long rainy spring break here in Indiana.
Indianapolis is a true sports town. Over the years, I have had fun attending everything from the Indy 500 to the festivities surrounding the 2012 Superbowl. This past weekend we had so much fun at the NCAA Final Four tournament. The kids participated in the NCAA Dribble and the spirit of Hoosier hospitality was alive and well.
Aileen and NY Fashion week are two things you would never hear in the same sentence. But I heard about this amazing designer and her debut at NY Fashion week while listening to K-Love one morning. Anna Malika is a former victim of sex trafficking who now uses her clothing line to restore the lives of other women. As soon as her line “Elegantees” became open to the public, I ordered a Cecilia in Resort Blue.
After a week spent with sick kids on the couch transfixed on Kindles, iPhones, and TV- I LOVE this video. Where can I buy one???
This year I decided to experiment a little bit with coloring eggs using foods found in our kitchen! We used blueberries, grape juice, coffee, spinach &kale, turmeric and oranges & carrots. The eggs soaked overnight to allow the color to develop. The kids would have preferred some immediate gratification from a Paas kit but I think they came out beautiful!
Like I mentioned, this week has been full of thunderstorms and fevers. Thankfully the temperatures have been warmer so we can open the doors and let some fresh spring air in. Yesterday this little guy flew into our screened in porch. He entertained my littles for quite some time with his antics and beautiful songs. Nature TV rocks. Eventually, I did help him find his way out of the porch and off to find some worms.
This week look around your world and find the beautiful things that surround us. Share with me!!
